Run!

Recently at church we sang "...hear the sound of hearts returning to You." Tears sprang to my eyes as I pictured broken people, hurting people, people I know and love...people like me returning to a merciful God; people walking bedraggled to a God Whose arms are outstretched and ready to accept them in whatever condition they arrive.

Isaiah 44:21b-22 says I, the Lord, made you, and I will not forget you. I have swept away your sins like a cloud. I have scattered your offenses like the morning mist. Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free.

Can you see Him, standing there with love and compassion in His eyes; waiting for you to see that love and come a-runnin'? Take off...don't be afraid, don't be ashamed. He's there, in all His glory, waiting for you to leap into his arms, crashing into the forgiveness that will set you free.
