God's got you on his mind

What’s going on with you today?  Have you lost your car keys?  Is your diet in jeopardy?  Are struggling with an important relationship?  Has the remote control disappeared?  Whatever the need, take heart:  God has got you on his mind.  Psalm 40:17 says “[yes], I am poor and needy BUT the Lord is thinking about me right now.” Did you catch that?  The Lord is thinking about you right now!  He’s got the whole world in his hands yet he’s got you on his mind and he’s working out the details of your life in a way that will benefit you.

I love the way God articulated this concept to Job.  He said “Do you know when the wild goats give birth?  Have you watched as deer are born in the wild?  Do you know how many months they carry their young? Are you aware of the time of their delivery” (Job 39:1-3)? It’s as if God is saying ‘Child…if I know about the details of goats and a deers, you better believe I’m keeping track of you!

• I know how you long for love;
• I know you’re desperate to find a job;
• I know when you’re pregnant (and when you’re not);
• I know money's tight;
• I know your heart’s broken for your child;

I know…I know.’

Believe this amazing truth and you’ll find great peace; peace in your heart AND peace in your day to day circumstances.

“Not even a sparrow, worth only half a penny, can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.  And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.  So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to him than a whole flock of sparrows” (Matthew 10:29-31).
