Knowledge
"Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment" (Proverbs 9:10b). In other words, get to know God and you'll know what to do. Do you believe this...that knowing God will provide you with good judgment? *Do you believe that, when involved in a conflict with a friend or relative, your knowledge of the fact that the bible says "work hard at living in peace with others" (Psalm 34:14) will cause you to work through the situation where another person may choose to walk away? *Do you believe that, when considering listing inaccurate information on a form or document, your knowledge of the Holy One will remind you that the bible says "a false witness" is detestable to God (Proverbs 6:19) so you'll need to correct the inaccuracies before submitting the form? *Do you believe that, although "food" has a remarkable ability to break down your willpower, your understanding of the Bible's references to "athletes disciplining their bodies" (I Corinthians 9:27) applies not only to your Christian life but to your eating habits as well, so you're able to resist the temptation to run to the fridge every time your willpower is weak and instead, discipline your appetites to focus on more beneficial activities?
If you're struggling to believe, fill your mind with verses such as Proverbs 8:14 - "Common sense and success belong to me" and Psalm 25:7 - "The Lord is good and right; He shows the proper path to those who go astray." Your knowledge of verses like these and countless more will grow your relationship with the Holy One and broaden your ability to apply biblical "good judgment" to every situation.
