Surrender=Freedom
Surrender is hard. But, when it comes to our relationship with Christ, surrender means freedom. Freedom from what? Freedom from heartache, from unforgiveness, from pride and freedom to soar, to forgive, to heal. But we still don't want to give in do we, even when our very freedom is at stake? We know God's Word; we know that it says "Christ died so we can be free;" we know we're supposed to surrender out of obedience, yet freedom seems out of our grasp because self-will and self-rights are always standing in the way.
Yet Christ doesn't leave us in this condition. Instead, He spreads His arms wide open and says "Come to me, if you're weary and burdened (and unwilling to surrender) and I'll give you rest." And then, when we don't come at His call, He gently draws us to our knees and helps us comply to His Truth - the only Truth that will ever set us free. Why? Because he wants us free! He paid for our freedom!
What do you need to surrender? Let Jesus meet you on your knees; He's waiting...waiting to free you.
