Who do you believe?

When it comes to your identity, who's opinion do you believe?  Do you create your persona from the opinions and comments of others or do you let God's opinion of you define who you are?   If you're in doubt or confused or needing some reassurance, try these precious truths on for size and wear them daily like a beautiful crown on your head:

  • You’re loved with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3)
  • You’re his bride (Isaiah 62:4)
  • Your name is “Friend of God” (Romans 5:11)
  • You’re precious in his sight (Psalm 116:15)
  • You have God's character traits (Psalm 111:2)
  • You’re masterfully created to do great things for him (Ephesians 2:10)
  • You’re adopted into his family (Romans 9:4)
  • You bear the name of the Lord (Jeremiah 15:16)
  • You’re unconditionally accepted (Ephesians 1)
  • You're fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139)
  • You’re forgiven (even of your most ugly sin) when you ask (Psalm 32:5)
  • You’re more flawed and sinful than you ever dared to believe and yet you’re more welcomed and loved than you even dared to hope.

Amen?!

"Praise the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does such wonderful things" (Psalm 72:18).
