Don't forget to pray!

Don't forget to pray today.

• Pray for your spouse
• Pray for your children
• Pray for your family unit

As my husband always says "If I'm not praying for my kids and my wife, who is?"  But our prayers must reach far beyond our families.

• Pray for our president
• Pray for your pastor
• Pray for your friends and neighbors
• Pray for "the harvest" - those who have heard the good news but have not made the decision to receive it
• Pray for your Bible study leader
• Pray for missionaries in the U.S. and abroad
• Pray for our local authorities
• (Pray for the person writing this devotion!)
• Pray.

And, as you pray – for your personal needs as well as the needs of others (supplication and intercession) – remember what the angel told the prophet in Daniel 10:12:  “Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven.”

What a promise!  When we pray in humility and for understanding, our prayers are heard from the very first time we pray them!

Amen!  Now, back to my knees...
