God is by your side

King David said “This I know: God is on my side” (Psalm 56:9-10)...

• not judging me guilty
• not disappointed with me when I mess up
• not surprised by my failures
• not indifferent to my struggles
• not holding my mistakes against me
• not standing far off
• not shaking His head from heaven saying “I told you so…”

David also said “I praise God for what He has promised.”

• to stick closer to me than anyone
• to forgive…and forgive…and forgive
• to rescue me from personal destruction
• to train me to “do better” next time
• to orchestrate my life the way He knows best
• to provide peace when my mind is in turmoil
• to help me stay accountable for my actions.

The apostle Paul said “And, all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in him (Jesus). That is why we say ‘Amen’ when we give glory to God through Christ. It is God who gives us…the ability to stand firm for Christ” (2 Corinthians 1:20). 

How’s that for a remedy to your problems? God is by your side, He’s promised to help you and, because of Jesus, the promises to help you and to stay by your side are a reality. Praise God!
