the healing arms of Jesus

The music portion of church this weekend had a particular impact on me.  Listen to these juxtaposed phrases and simply enjoy the description of the healing arms of Jesus. Spread wide in the arms of Christ is a love the covers sin; no greater love have I ever know that considered me a friend...and captured my heart again.  Yet, my eyes have not fully seen the beauty of the cross; the beauty of Christ's open arms around my empty heart...my hurting heart...my ugly heart...my needy heart.  Yes, Christ's wide-opened arms cover every condition of my heart because His are the broken, the needy ones (me!); His are the arms I've grown to trust (yes, I have).  He is The Love.  He is my love.
