Turn from My Sin

After Jesus was tempted in the desert and battled the devil, He began his earthly ministry. Matthew 4:17 says "from then on Jesus began to preach 'turn from your sins and turn to God...'" Which direction are you turned? Toward yourself and the world or toward God? I have found that the moment I take my eyes off God and focus on myself is the moment sin creeps in. And if I don't immediately turn from that sin, it expands and moves it's many tentacles into other areas of my life.

My only hope at that point is to do as Jesus said and "turn from my sin and turn to God." It always works too. Try it.
