Go Deeper

Does the Lord have His rightful place in your life?  Read the following excerpt from “And He Shall Be Called”, a favorite devotional book of mine:

“Millions of people go to church each week having a passing acquaintance with Jesus of Nazareth, even calling Him “Lord.” But He isn’t at the center of their lives or enthroned in their hearts. He doesn’t dominate their thinking, control their attitudes, or empower their service. He isn’t given His rightful place as Governor.” (Robert Morgan)

After reading this I was reminded of the time the worship leader at my church asked us, his worship team, "don't you just wanna go deeper [with the Lord]?"  I remember thinking "yes, I do."

That was the fall of 1995 and ever since then, the Lord has been taking me deeper.  So deep that I can officially call Him my Governor...He is truly the Lord of my life.

So I ask you again:  Does the Lord have His rightful place in your life?  If not, why not ask Him to take you deeper?  It's a wild ride...but worth every moment of the trip.
