Are you faithful and true?

Revelations 19:11 gives Christ the names Faithful and True.  Wow!  Don't I wish this is how people referred to me:  Julie is "faithful" in everything she does and when she says something, you know it is "true."  While this should be the goal of every believer, we don't have to hope this is true about our precious Lord.  In terms of His faithfulness...

• Nehemiah 9:33 says "In all that has happened to us, you have remained righteous; you have acted faithfully, while we acted wickedly."
• 2 Timothy 2:13 says "...if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself."

In terms of the fact that He is Truth...

• Isaiah 45:19 says "I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right."
• Jesus said in John 14:6 and 8:32 "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

So when loved ones are unfaithful to you, remember, Jesus will never let you down; He'll always remain by your side - never faltering.  And when scores of people lie to you or have deceptive motives, remember, Jesus will always speak the Truth to you, and He'll always do it in a loving way.

Cling to these promises in the New Year...they won't let you down.
