Hopeless

During the "dog days" of winter, it's easy to feel hopeless.  In the middle of a crowded church service, it's easy to feel hopeless.  When you're stuck at an impasse with your spouse or a friend, it's easy to feel hopeless. But it doesn't have to be that way.

Psalm 42:5 says "Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!"  You see, He's the source of your hope; He's the remedy for your despair; He's the only One who can take your bitterness and make it sweet.

Yes, when you put your hope in God, you become a "hopeless soul redeemed to tell [that] the Lord God Almighty reigns."

Are you discouraged today?  Let the Lord God Almighty reign in your life.  Things will begin to change.
