If You will help me...

King David’s plea in Psalm 119:32 really resonate with me.  It says “If You will help me, I will run to obey your commands.”  In other words 'I’m going to try to obey you God…but you’re gonna have to help me ‘cause I can’t do it on my own!' Can you relate?  Do you need God’s help to be able to obey something He’s told you to do?  For example:

  • If you help me Lord, I will run to make things right with my sister in-law…
  • If you help me Lord, I will run to my spouse and work toward a more intimate relationship…
  • If you help me Lord, I will run to my bible instead of the telephone when I need some wise counsel…
  • If you help me Lord, I will run toward healthy eating habits…
  • If you help me Lord, I will run along side my teenagers in their times of struggle…
  • If you help me Lord, I will run away from my friend who’s constantly slandering our mutual acquaintance…

Why not personalize a few of your own?

  1. If you help me Lord, I will run__________________________________
  2. If you help me Lord, I will run__________________________________
  3. If you help me Lord, I will run__________________________________

My prayers are with you (seriously) as you attempt to run in the right direction.
