Who gets peace during the holidays?

Who gets peace during the holidays?  The one who gets their gifts wrapped first?  The one who doesn't max out their credit card?  The one who finds the most unique gift? It is actually the angels from the nativity story who give us a true definition of peace. "Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased'” (Luke 2:13-14).

Peace for whom?  Peace to those with whom He's pleased.

Are you pleasing God?  Hebrews 11:6 says "It is impossible to please God without faith." Yes, the key that unlocks the treasure chest of God's peace is faith in the promises of God.  Verse 6 goes on to say that "Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and [believe] that he rewards those who sincerely seek him."

So how's your faith?  Why not stop right now and examine your heart.  Because, if at any place your faith is faltering, there you'll find a lack of peace.
